Once you have created a Forum instance on your network, you can create discussions in this forum. To do that, go to the Forum listing page. Click on the “+” button. You’ll see a page where you can add a title, your discussion content, and tags to help people find your discussion afterwards (separate tags with commas or put multiple-word tags in quotes, such as “San Francisco”). You can even add embedded videos or images.
By default, your discussion’s URL will take the title of your discussion for the URL. Feel free to customize this URL and add your discussion to any existing Forum categories.
Want to add your discussion to more than one category? Hold down the “Command” or “Control” button while clicking on the category at the same time.
Some content is not supported in forum discussions, such as JavaScript, CSS expressions, or certain HTML tags (including script, frame, iframe, html or body). Validation is performed when you click “Save”, so any unsupported content may be removed at that time.

Click “Publish” when you’re ready to post your discussion.
Categories can be clicked on beneath your discussion’s title to view other discussions in that same category. Tags are listed at the bottom of the discussion. Members can click on these tags to view other discussions with the same tag.
Files cannot be uploaded to forum discussions. Blog posts are the one location where members can attach files to the network. As the Network Creator, you can additionally upload a file to the File Manager, and then copy the link for this file and paste it into your discussion.
Depending on the settings for this particular Forum instance, comments may or may not be enabled. If they are enabled, people will be able to reply to your discussion.
In addition, for any discussion you start, you will automatically be opted in to receive email notifications when people reply to it. See “Follow Content on Your Ning Network” for more information.
To prevent people from being able to reply to your discussion, click on the “Close Discussion” link that appears beneath the comment box.
