To spread the word about your event, invite people to RSVP! You can invite people by typing in email addresses, selecting from your list of friends across Ning or importing your web address book from services such as Yahoo!, Gmail or Hotmail. If the Network Creator has enabled additional services, such as Facebook or LinkedIn, you can even invite your contacts on these services!
If you’re the Network Creator, you can also invite all members of your Ning Network to the event, or invite other contacts by importing addresses from an address book application.
To invite people to an event, go to the event’s page and click the “Invite More People” link. Invitees will need to join your Ning Network in order to RSVP for the event.
To see who has responded, go to your event’s detail page. Please note that no email notifications are sent out when someone RSVPs to your event. From here, you can see which members have responded, whether they will, will not or might attend your event.
As the event creator, you can click on the “Export List of Attendees” link to see a simple Excel spreadsheet of who will be there.
Clicking on the “Export to Outlook or iCal” link will add the event to your calendar and show you who will and who might be attending.
If you are the creator of an event, you can disable RSVPs, hide the guest list or close the event to new attendees by enabling those options after you click the “Edit” button of an event.
