If you belong to the same Ning Network as someone and you still aren’t able to ask them to be your friend, it’s likely that you have too many outstanding friend requests. As a member, you can have up to 100 outstanding friend requests combined on any Ning Network you are a member of. You’ll have to withdraw some of your outstanding friend requests before you can invite new people to be your friends. To do this, click on the “Friends” link in your personal member account module and go to the Requests Sent tab.
On this page, you can click on the “Withdraw Request” link next to some of your old requests.
